WEBBIE CONCERT AND OPENING ACT AUDITION IN ALABAMA - STUDIO 231 GADSDEN, AL.

Opening Act Audition is open on Thursday, September 13th with no registration fee but...each act is encouraged to bring at least 5 fans to help you with audience reaction to your performance. Doors open 10 p,.m. Open mic starts at Midnight. Get in early for signup. Admission is $5 per person age 18 and older with a proper ID. Studio 231 @ 231 E. Broad St. Gadsden, AL. Advance tickets for the concert are $15 available at Studio 231, Liz's Barbque on East Broad Street in Gadsden, and On Time Fashions on Noble Street in downtown Anniston. The promoter of this show is from Birmingham, AL.,an underground Hip Hop recording artist well known as MP who, along with others, is behind the successful Birmingham Magic City Concert Series this Spring at Club Continental www.myspace.com/mp205
BAMA HIP HOP: What We Do
Bama Hip Hop promotes Alabama Hip Hop Culture and is a perfomance opportunity network aimed at providing assistance to independent and unsigned artists from all over in being seen and heard around Alabama and elsewhere. Bama Hip Hop has grown to include a monthly newsletter featuring performance opportunity listings, an online profile directory, open mic events, organizing entertainment for festivals, promoting artists, referring artists to industry events and television appearances.

Over the last 7 years we have arranged performance opportunities for area unsigned and independent artists in many of the local events and major festivals in Alabama and Georgia such as the Tuskegee Springfest/Players Picnic, Juneteenth Heritage Festival (Anniston), Birmingham Heritage Festival, Bayfest Music Festival (Mobile), Jubilee Cityfest (Montgomery), WEUP Black Arts Festival (Huntsville), Soul Food & Music Festival (Atlanta), National Black Arts Festival (Atlanta), college programs such as UAB Springfest and Jacksonville State University (African-American Scholarship Pageant, Women's Basketball Half-Time show, Homecoming Step Show) and talent showcases like BLive TV/Last Sunday Showcase (Birmingham), OnStage Live Revue (Atlanta), The MixShow television program, our own Diamond Divas & Ghetto Queens Showcase, The Southern Playaz Ball, and the Open Mic Check which has given emerging artists opening act opportunities in concerts at area night clubs featuring recording artists Lil Jon & the Eastside Boys, Ying Yang Twins, B.G., T.I., 2 Live Crew, Dirty, Last Mr. Bigg, Pastor Troy,Juvenile, Master P, Lil Flip and Lil Wayne.
